The Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Fund Accountant whose primary responsibility will be to support the Director of Finance and Operations and serve as the record keeper of 424’s funds.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Finance and Operations/Chief Compliance Officer with the following:
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Quarterly closing of Private Equity Fund books
- Coordination of tax return preparation with 424’s tax advisor
- Assistance with quarterly and annual compliance reviews
- Assist with the annual audit process for the Funds and prepare schedules required by the Fund’s auditors
- Assist with SEC audit requests as needed
- Assist with the management of third-party fund administrator
- Assist with ad-hoc internal and external reporting requests
- Assist with capital allocations and capital call and distribution calculations
- Create distribution templates for the firm’s entities
- Assist with the review of distribution templates issued by third-party fund administrator
- Disseminate quarterly packages and audited statements to investors
To be considered for the role, the following qualifications are required:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in the field
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with an ability to effectively utilize spreadsheet functions and formulas
- The ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet multiple reporting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- A keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills, including transparency, trustworthiness, confidence, and competence
- The ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial information
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to both internal and external stakeholders
- A self-motivated and driven mindset, coupled with high energy and a natural curiosity to drive continuous improvement
