Accountable to lead compliance efforts for the US and Global Market Access leadership team, as well as the subject matter expert for the Market Access function. Responsible for developing the compliance strategy for the US Biopharmaceutical Business Unit with regard to Market Access, supporting compliance program elements for the US region, and will contribute to the direction and control of the compliance function. Lead on key strategic business initiatives from a compliance perspective and partner closely with Assurance function in the US and other Global Compliance specialists. Implement and maintain an effective compliance program as a strategic business partner lead (including support for monitoring, auditing, and assurance activities) Set operational compliance objectives (aligned with Ethics & Transparency strategy) to ensure embedded and streamlined approach to governance and assurance Support implementation of AZ risk framework and risk register, including mitigation of corporate risks (e.g., data privacy, ABAC, third party risk, etc.) Manage local/area oversight of all aspects of governance, including working w/counterparts in other SET areas in areas of overlapping accountability when considering innovative contracting strategies Serve as Compliance representative for the ACERT process and advise on Fair Market Value assessments Support driving and embedding our Code of Ethics and assist in Market Access specific training Collaborate with the Associate Director, Compliance for Access Services to support reimbursement support strategy projects, programs and risk evaluations Ensure close collaboration with Global Internal Audit (GIA) to support the conduct of formal audits to assess effectiveness of compliance controls Ensure close collaboration with BBU, OBU and Alexion Compliance team members to assist in support related to market access strategies, initiatives, and proposals Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience- Bachelor Degree required 8 years experience Senior professional - compliance, law, accountancy preferred Significant experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry Knowledge and experience of corporate governance, health care regulations, laws and standards Demonstrable management skills and experience Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills Strong collaborative, partnering, and interpersonal skills Strong ability to work independently High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion Prior experience and/or demonstrated understanding of managed markets environment, customer dynamics, reimbursement support activities and key risk areas Desirable Market access experience or other relevant compliance or legal experience Why AstraZeneca?
