What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local CDL A Truck Driver position at 4th Day Trucking?

Applicants from the Muncy, Pennsylvania area are being sought for the position of truck driver. Those drivers' service area will be within 250 miles of Muncy, Pennsylvania. Our drivers don't make any trips into New York City. The majority of the time, these drivers would pick up a load in the Muncy, Pennsylvania area, transport it to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania rail yard, do some work there, and then return to Muncy, either with an empty trailer or a load, depending on whether or not we have freight delivering to that area. While a Hazmat endorsement isn't necessary to get hired, drivers will be expected to have one within 60 days.
These local truck drivers will work from Sunday through Thursday, or from Friday through Tuesday, with the option to go home each night and have regular time off. Typically, a driver's shift will last between 10 and 12 hours. There will be no shifts scheduled on Christmas Day, but employees have the option to work on Thanksgiving and New Year's.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Clean driving record
- DOT medical card
- Valid Class A driver’s license
- Must have no accidents in the last 5 years
- Must have no tickets within the last 3 years
- Must be 21 years older
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
