The Production Manager is a key member of the production/operations team that provides leadership and production support in a WCM environment supporting the Oklahoma City facility. The Production Manager ensures the production department operates at the highest level of safety, quality, delivery, and cost with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The Production Manager will manage all associates within the production departments and assure Company Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are continually improved to match company standards and goals. Balances safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas Works to continuously improve the company standards while focusing on procedures, equipment, and continuous improvement activities Work with the Planner/Scheduler to coordinate production schedules Manages departmental performance measures, goals, budgets, visual controls and provides regular progress reports to the Plant Manager Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines Monitor production to resolve issues Ensure output meets quality standards Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.) Leads department priorities, schedules, all production associates time and attendance Provides coaching and development while resolving personnel opportunities Performs accident investigations and reviews audit scores within the production departments Establish standard operating procedures and ensures standard work is followed by the use of WCM Ability to determine root cause using WCM tools and implement corrective actions. Serve as a pillar leader for WCM Job Qualifications and Requirements 4-year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required 5-7 years leadership experience in 24/7 manufacturing operation Plastics, Rubber or Foam extrusion experience a plus Safety program leader experience a plus Ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve goals. Strong strategic operational planning Supervision, including employee hiring, training, retention, performance review and discipline.
