Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of the menu, wine list, and beverages.
- Processing food and beverage orders into the POS terminal quickly and accurately.
- Properly preparing each table for the appropriate silverware, glassware, and plates according to the orders from the guests in a timely manner.
- Ensuring a thorough maintenance of each table for the guests, such as crumbing, clearing any finished glassware, silverware, and plates.
- Must have excellent communication skills to comply with guests requests to back server and expeditor.
- To be able to make a managerial decision on the spot to fulfill guests’ questions and concerns.
- To create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for the guests according to the standards of the house and guest needs.
- Must have a complete understanding for each team member’s role in the house in order to uphold standards that are set in place.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
- Attends and participates at mandatory staff meetings and classes.
- Is involved in on-premise and off-property promotions for the restaurant.
- May be filmed or photographed by the restaurant for marketing, recruiting, educational or other purposes.
- Other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2 – 5 years of experience in a similar role in a fine-dining atmosphere
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must posses knowledge of sequence of service
- Excellent communications skills
- Liquor Card
- TB Clearance
- Must meet background check requirements applicable to the central job duties of the position
