Job Summary
This is a great Automation Test Engineer opportunity, providing 100% remote support to a U.S. Federal Agency. The team is migrating from Mainframe to AWS and is looking for a talented engineer to join the team.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required.
Applicants must live in the United States and successfully pass a background investigation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with stakeholders to understand end-to-end services being developed and tested.
- Identify and assess automation capabilities.
- Design, develop, test, and implement test automation scenarios and scripts.
- Write libraries and test framework.
- Collaborate with analysts and developers to develop test solutions.
- Develop innovate ways to automate and/or simulate test plans.
- Develop functions for automation and be involved in creating code for API services.
- Perform automated and manual quality assurance.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- 3 years' experience in a similar software test automation role.
- Experience with multiple testing activities: smoke, regression, functional, and non-functional in large and complex environments.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing test automation.
- Demonstrated passion for test automation and being innovative.
- API testing experience.
- SQL experience.
- AWS experience. (Mainframe experience also desired).
- Preferred Industry experience: Federal Government and/or Insurance
- Leadership skills, initiative, and good judgement
- Ability to work both as a team member and independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field; additional experience may be substituted for education.
