Provider Relations Associate Analyst - Evernorth - Remote

Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries. This is a non-clinical customer service position within an inbound call center located at Cigna’s National Care Center for Behavioral Health. The Provider Relations Associate Analyst is responsible for handling inbound calls from providers and their support staff regarding mental health and substance use disorder services. Responsibilities include: Communicate eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements to providers for their customers who have Cigna coverage. Interpret claims information and billing procedures, and assist the provider with any claim processing issues. Provide follow-up on incoming inquiries via FAX, phone, mail, and email. Problem-solve to ensure exceptional customer service. Stay abreast of department updates to provide accurate information. The position is considered entry-level within Cigna. The work environment is structured. A typical workday consists of sitting at a desk answering inbound calls for the majority of the day. Each employee is scheduled a thirty minute lunch and two fifteen minute breaks per day. Occasional outbound calls may be necessary for issues requiring follow-up. Skills Customer Service experience. Ability to maintain a professional and positive image to external customers. Candidate must possess superb interpersonal communication skills. Effective listening and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Intuitive technical capabilities with the ability to quickly understand and apply working knowledge on several proprietary systems. Ability to type effectively and have strong PC skills. Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries. Education Bachelor’s Degree is required. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 18 - 28 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
