Location: Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living Highland Springs is a beautiful 89-acre continuing care retirement community in North Dallas, Texas. We are hiring a Senior Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for the troubleshooting and intermediate repair of apartment and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance. This position will assist in the training of departmental staff on the proper techniques/principles of facilities maintenance. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will serve as a technical resource to all staff members and will be responsible for the overall condition of their assigned neighborhood. How you will make an impact: Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment as assigned. Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendation. Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure. Serve as the lead mechanic in assigned area(s) and will be responsible for the overall condition of the neighborhood(s). Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances. Should have a working knowledge of HVAC. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential apartment complex, construction, or commercial building maintenance Must possess current EPA certification to handle refrigerants. Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and “on-call” overtime as necessary. Compensation: commensurate with experience, $24.00 - $34.00 per hour.
