We're looking for a few culinarians in training to join our team! We are willing to train on the job. If you're in culinary school or just curious about the hospitality industry, hungry, determined, and ready to jump on the line, send us your application - no experience required!
This job focuses on the creation and overall quality and maintenance of our products at the restaurant. Our line cook will assist the Lead Line Cook and keep the kitchen environment running smoothly and efficiently providing the very best dishes that we can create for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs routine preparation according to established operational policies and procedures
- Assist in ensuring a clean, safe and well-organized work space (kitchen and storage) and restaurant
- Prepare and set up stations and kitchen area for service
- Cook and assemble breakfast items quickly, efficiently, and focused on detail and quality
- Follow food and restaurant safety standards and guidelines
- Attention to detail in food/service quality and cleanliness
- Ensure that products are prepared according to company specifications and local health regulations
- Follow our Safety policies and procedures, including security, handling equipment, etc. (first in, first out)
- Report to work at the prescribed time for each scheduled shift and to fulfill the job requirements for the duration of the shift or until relieved of all duties by a direct supervisor
- Communicate effectively and proactively with management and team members
- Perform all work related tasks as assigned by your supervisor
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 1 year experience in a fast paced kitchen preferred
- Hand stretched pizza experience a plus!
- Able to commit at least 1 year to position
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and positive team attitude
- Have a focus on cooking and providing excellent service
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow directions from management
- Ability to interact productively with coworkers to meet store goals
- Ability to receive and build upon constructive criticism in a professional manner
- Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
- Ability to learn quickly, carry out oral and written instructions, and request clarification when needed
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and walking
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 60 lbs
