What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse position at 7A Recovery?
The Registered Nurse will care for our residents and facilitate their medical care while in treatment. They will also be responsible for educating residents on prevention and healthy habits.
The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will also be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Monitor resident’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible treatment and advice. Diagnosis and treats patients acute and chronic health conditions.
2. Observe and interpret resident’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
3. Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to devise individualized care plans for residents
4. Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in residents’ charts
5. Adjust, monitor, and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments per physician’s orders
6. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
7. Provide first aid and medical care in emergencies
8. Supervise and train LVN/RNs, direct care staff and clinical staff on medication observation and infection control procedures.
9. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for residents.
10. Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
11. Develops and coordinates the infection prevention and control program throughout the facility. Implements the program by formulating, establishing and evaluating policies and procedures relating to patient care infection control measures throughout the facility. Performs an annual assessment and develops action plans from the prior year activities.
12. Serves on the Safety and Infection Control committee as the Infection Control Coordinator.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a registered nurse
2. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
3. Excellent knowledge of emergency care
4. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them always
5. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Responsible and compassionate
7. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
8. Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
Education/Experience:
● Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
● Minimum one-year related work experience
● Experience working in a substance abuse treatment facility or behavioral healthcare a plus
Certificates and Licenses:
● Valid nursing license
● Current CPR and First Aid certificate
● Current TB test
● Valid driver's license
● Fingerprint Clearance Card
Salary : $62,300 - $78,900
