The Dir Operations Systems sits on the embecta Manufacturing and Supply Chain Team (eMSC) reporting to the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, and will drive solutions development and implementation, standardization of global process requirements, and simplification of solutions across eMSC functions. (One example of such is to be a leading member of the ERP (SAP) implementation team for embecta to quickly deploy a greenfield solution and simplify processes where necessary.) The role will also be responsible for making decisions on best practices, understanding the interactions across Manufacturing, Procurement, EH&S, Supply Chain, and providing direction on integrating new manufacturing/OEM contracts and M&A into embecta systems. The scope of this position is from raw material suppliers through delivery to our customers and will include but not be limited to all E2E Operations modules, as well as interfaces with external partners (suppliers/customers). Initial main focus is to lead ERP (SAP) implementation for eMSC and other systems critical for separation targets & growth goals RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Lead global Operations solutions for embecta: ·Gather for all Operations functions, systems requirements and interoperability ·Partner with IT Consultants, and functional leads to be at the forefront of the planning effort and implement effective, efficient tools ·Work directly with senior integration leaders to support Go Live milestones/activities pre and post launch ·Identify and escalate business risks and propose mitigations as they arise ·Be a rapid decision maker to provide direction representing Operations requirements and needs. Base decisions on transactional experience (such as SAP), best practices, and consultation with SME’s.] ·Build relationships across embecta, to ensure our systems meet the cross functional needs of the business including finance, quality, regulatory, and commercial operations Establish best practice metrics to manage and monitor Systems Implementation projects within Operations Collaborate with eMSC leadership to mindfully plan for and communicate change management across sites 4.Support development of standard global processes to support the launch of new products and M&A, in a timely cost effective and compliant manner Will need to comfortably flex between both leading and executing on various project teams Initial main focus is to lead ERP (SAP) implementation for eMSC and other systems critical for separation targets & growth goals This role will report to the SVP Manufacturing and Supply Chain and will have regular interaction with functional and regional Operations leadership. POSITION REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE: 15 years’ experience in a supply chain and/or manufacturing management role Transactional experience and proficiency in SAP and other modules. Working knowledge on the organization of Master Data and the impact on SAP and other systems Strong knowledge and experience within end-to-end supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, EH&S Highly experienced with systems development and implementations in Operations (i.e. active participation in providing design requirements and collaborating with SME’s to make decisions for all eMSC functional areas) Demonstrated success in streamlining systems & solutions to align with process simplification (such as with SAP). Experience managing internal and external partners to complete complex projects on time, including key integration upstream and downstream stakeholders (e.g. Quality, Finance). Conducted benchmarking on industry best practices for areas within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, CPIM, APICS principles COMPETENCIES: Analytical problem-solver with an eye for detail, who can also effectively communicate how those details fit into the bigger picture to team members and senior leadership across the organization; ability to articulate complex issues in a simple manner. Strategic thinking and analytical ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Power Point) – ability to work across all functions and levels in the organization and regions; effectively manage and work with a virtual team; ability to influence without direct control. Building strong teams – highly capable of building relationships across teams and confident in consulting with other subject matter experts for key decisions. Strong change management skills – embraces change; proven change agent with track record of change management successes; able to foster and cultivate adoption of change. Display thorough understanding of competitive benchmarks; ability to continuously challenge processes/procedures based on the latest industry thinking. Comfortable with building capabilities and making recommendations for systems from the ground up. Possess a continuous improvement mindset. Process-minded with an understanding of systems and data. Comfortable with rapidly shifting priorities, styles, and work environments in an exciting, evolving role. Good command of written and verbal English language.
