Position Summary This position is for a Lead or Senior Business and Technical Consultant on the Process Automation &Customer Technologies team in Customer Service Technologies. This position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software robots for Customer Service’s related processes. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on RPA development and will work closely with key stakeholders at all levels, including supervisors and management in the Customer Services organization and IT. Responsibilities Senior Responsibilities & Duties Serves as a SME for RPA design and development. Design, build, test, implement, and monitor RPA processes utilizing Kofax RPA software. Provides / Serves as a central contact for technical expertise and business process guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems and the advancement of opportunities. Implements and integrates complex business changes across multiple, cross-functional depts. Resolves complex system & business process problems. Analyzes and develops plans of action to correct or eliminate future issues. Design, develop and implement solutions to meet customer and business needs. Works to integrate solutions into existing business processes. Helps to manage change and communications across multiple departments. Prepares thorough and accurate technical and business management reports, effective correspondence, accurate documentation, and well-maintained records. Coordinates and manages subject matter experts from a variety of disciplines and support organizations to provide business and system requirements and validation of RPA projects. Responsible for establishing policy and procedures for specific system security in compliance with corporate IT standards. Required/Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Technical Business Administration, Information Technology, Communications, Mathematics, Statistics or Other Related Degree 3 years related work experience. In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) AND 3 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 7 year(s) related work experience. Desired Qualifications Master's degree in Technology or Business-related field In addition to desired degree, 7 years related work experience. Business Process Management and/or Six Sigma and/or Project Management Professional and/or Change Management Certification Prior demonstrated experience with RPA using Kofax Kapow or similar products. In depth knowledge of customer contact channels and systems. Prior demonstrated experience with process flow design and documentation. Prior demonstrated experience with SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and other development languages. Experience in the utility industry. Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience in the utility industry. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent problem solving and analysis skills Negotiation and conflict management skills Demonstrated leadership within Duke Energy. Working Conditions Virtual - Work will be performed from a remote location after the onboarding period. However, virtual employees should live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility.
