Profile Summary: This role is on the Hedging and ALM Team. This is the entry level point for exam-taking students. Profile Description: Index Hedging – Perform monthly notional calculations for trade execution; monitor performance of maturing hedges/policies; track surplus/deficit position presented to Inforce Mgmt. team; produce quarterly derivatives analysis of market value sensitivities VA Rho Hedging – Run interest rate hedge model and work with derivative traders to rebalance VA rho hedge each week ICD Testing (DUP Memo) – Each quarter, confirm that liability hedges and underlying liabilities move as expected and are considered effective as specified under the Derivative Use Policy Liquidity Stress Testing – Perform quarterly assessment of RLUS’ liquidity position through use of stress test scenarios Communicate effectively with manager and other team members, and successfully collaborate with other departments and partners to achieve objectives Participate in the Actuarial Student Rotation Program Knowledge & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or other related field 1-3 actuarial exams Solid oral and written communication and problem-solving skills Good time-management skills; ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Preferred experience with Excel, Word and database software and/or programming experience Basic knowledge of insurance products and insurance company operations Preferred actuarial internship(s) or one in a related field Location: West Chester, PA Critical Skills At Resolution Life, we have identified the following critical skills which are key to success in our culture: Customer Focused: Passionate drive to delight our customers and offer unique solutions that deliver on their expectations.
