What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Center Receptionist position at 91 Place?
The Therapy Center receptionist is the first line of communication between a client and a therapist; whether, it’s on the phone or in person. They may answer questions, provide general information, or may direct a participant to a person who can provide more direct and specific information.
The receptionist is responsible for keeping, updating, and maintaining records by obtaining the appropriate information from the program participants, therapists, and medical providers.
This position will also be our Biosound therapy administrator, which training will be provided for.
The receptionist must have excellent communication, customer service and people skills, as well as be able to multitask and stay organized. It is important to be keenly aware of all services provided within the clinic, throughout 91 Place, as well as, Continuum of Care services.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- BAdminister iosound therapy sessions when clients arrive (training to be provided- no certificate or degree necessary for this part) and maintain program outcomes.
- Complete initial new patient process, scan and document in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a calendar of events and schedules and coordinate appointments for bio-sound appointments. Prepare any patient materials necessary prior to appointments, maintain accurate patient lists, and follow up appointments and charting.
- Welcome all incoming visitors and program participants and route them to the proper staff person for services.
- Receive all incoming phone calls, screen them, take messages and/or forward to appropriate staff.
- Maintain and update wait list as well as outcome measures.
- Participate in monthly all staff meetings and supervision.
- Educate community members and organizations about bio-sound.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming therapy center.
- Make coffee in the morning and tea when requested for clients.
- Contact building maintenance as needed.
- Assist in planning and hosting therapy center events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 per year
