What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Training Instructor - First Responder Experience position at 911 Driving School Kent?
911 Driving School of Kent is currently looking for full-time and part-time Driver Training Instructors/ Examiners to join our team in Kent WA. We will train you to become a State certified instructor.
We are a small family owned business (franchise) that provides New Driver Training and Driver License Testing services to teens and adults. All instructors are First Responders (Police including Military, Fire and EMT).
Compensation: 25.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
*Provide in-classroom (also via Zoom) and in-car driver's education to teens and adults in accordance with company and WA State D.O.L. policies.
*Maintains proper documentation of student records
*Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and updates
*Represents 911 Driving School in a professional manner
*Provides excellent customer service and communication skills
*Administer State knowledge and driving tests (with additional training).
Qualifications:
*Must be current or former First Responder (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMT, Military Police)
*Must meet State driving instructor requirements - minimum age 21 years old, possess a WA state driver's license, must been a licensed driver for at least 5 years, good driving record, HS diploma or equivalent
*Pass a background check
*Must pass D.O.L. written and skills exam
*Detail-oriented
*Excellent communication spoken/written, Strong customer service skills
*General computer knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite).
*Willing to work some Saturdays and early evenings
*Bilingual skills a plus but not a requirement
*Time management skills
