The Minerals Testing & Research Center provides technical expertise throughout all phases of the R&D project lifecycle for equipment and process development, as well as support flowsheet design and optimization to mineral processing concentrators globally. Our world-renowned laboratory is used by a team of metallurgical and chemical engineers, chemists, mineralogists, and technicians to discover solutions for our customers. Your Responsibilities Provide technical expertise, guidance, and leadership in laboratory testing and equipment sizing for sedimentation and filtration processes. Expected to assist with testing, training, development, and analyses of designs, processes, or procedures. Act as a technical advisor for a variety of solid/liquid separation equipment so that technical process issues are handled correctly and efficiently in line with customer requirements and objectives. Prepare, perform, and report on laboratory and pilot scale testing programs to determine optimum equipment type, sizing, and operating parameters. Carry out process audits, plant visits, customer meetings, and support commissioning efforts. Read and interpret process-flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, arrangement drawings, and specifications. Manage multiple projects in a team environment. Present and publish technical papers and articles. What you Bring BS Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related degree. Five (5) years of related mining or chemical experience with solid/liquid separation experience preferred. Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Ability to communicate effectively orally and written. Must be able to work in the US.
