Description
Insignia Technology Services has an immediate opening for a Disaster Recovery Specialist to join our team in the DC area. In this position, you will perform day-to-day activities required to maintain business continuity. As a Disaster Recovery Specialist, you will use your skills and experience to manage the Agency’s Emergency Notification System (ENS). This position will collaborate with other engineers and IT professionals on the team as well as other government resources.
- Perform day-to-day activities required to maintain business continuity, such as overseeing and reviewing testing and implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected
- Facilitate the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan
- Assist in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption planning across all enterprise platforms
- Coordinate and monitor simulation testing across all platforms
- Design and administer programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery
- Manage the Agency’s Emergency Notification System (ENS).
- Perform day-to-day activities required to manage a Disaster Recovery (DR) program, such as designing and administrating a DR program to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery at HQ and regional Offices
- Oversee and review the testing and implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Low-Risk Background Clearance National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US
- Disaster Recovery Specialist – Mid
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience performing IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) and Business Continuity activities, such as DR testing, policy and plan development, and facilitation or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Disaster Recovery Specialist – Senior
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience leading and managing large scale IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) programs or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must possess strong analytical, managerial, and organizational skills
- Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with multiple groups and organizations
Preferred
- Active Low-Risk Background Clearance National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or equivalent
