Responsibilities
- Perform basic manual labor including moving and installing soil, mulch, and plant material.
- Operate a variety of power equipment such as lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, trucks, and trailers.
- Assist crew leader in other work-related duties including construction projects, shop and yard maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations and work in accordance with local health and safety laws.
- Interact with clients in a polite and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and complete simple reports.
- Time management skills.
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
- Physically able to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate data-enabled device for communication and reporting.
