We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Waste Recycling Laborer to join our team. As a Waste Recycling Laborer, you will be responsible for collecting and disposing of refuse and recyclable material, including yard trash. This is a heavy manual labor position that requires considerable physical exertion and close daily contact with unpleasant materials.
Responsibilities
• Collect and dispose of refuse and recyclable material, including yard trash
• Perform routine work as part of a crew in collecting garbage, refuse, recyclables, yard trash and other waste materials
• Transport waste materials to designated disposal and recycling locations
• Work out-of-doors regardless of weather
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
• Ability to exert physical effort in handling and lifting objects up to 75 pounds most of the day
• Ability to stand on feet the entire workday
• Ability to bend at the waist to pick objects off the floor most of the day
• Ability to work in a physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements
• Ability to wear an air-purifying respirator most of the workday
Working Conditions
This position is a light recycling facility containing Mercury. You must have the ability to obtain medical clearance to wear a full-face negative pressure respirator.
Benefits
A & Associates offers a competitive hourly rate of $14.00 per hour. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm.
