Job Status: Full-time
Yard Location: 19th Ave and Grand Ave (You will drive with tank truck driver)
Job Pay: $19.00 (after on the job training pay increase)
Job Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm (mandatory OT)
Tank Cleaning, Professional Services and Emergency Response Services
The General Labor Employee will work on hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling human waste materials. At times, you must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
- Engaging in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pulling heavy objects.
- Performing emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, equipment decontamination, etc.
- Working in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions: including extreme heat and cold, while wearing various levels of personal protective equipment.
- Inspecting and completing all daily job paperwork
- Always keeping in contact with drivers
- Communicating changes to jobs/issue and resolve
Requirements
- Must pass a background check (felonies older than 7yrs are ok)
- Must have a valid driver license (certifications require it)
- Must pass a drug screen (marijuana included in screen)
- Must have the ability to travel when job assignment is required
- Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at high heights, etc.)
