A4 is looking for a business insights analyst to join our internal Business Development Team whose sole purpose is creating strategies to grow local clients’ business with the ad sales team using our own data as well as a large volume of third-party data
Responsibilities
- Meet with sales teams and management on account strategies and make recommendations based on what the research tells you.
- Digest data, build presentations, and articulate vision with the rest of the Business Development Team for the benefit of local ad sales clients.
- Support local business by deriving key performance metrics from qualitative and quantitative data resources that includes but not limited to Nielsen, Scarborough, Media Monitors, Claritas and Set-Top Box data.
- Conduct pre-diagnosis strategy with or for local clients and local ad agencies as well as post-diagnosis prescription planning.
- Create general sales materials including trending reports, rating highlights, market analysis and ranking reports.
- Utilize Census Data/Mapping system to develop reports down to system geography to match client qualifications.
- Create coverage area mapping for client specific and overall use for marketing and ad sales.
- Building custom audiences based on client requirements.
- Analyzing audience segments to develop attribute profiles of the audiences, including demographic and consumer attributes.
- Developing and implementing tests to determine relationships between audience segments and campaign performance.
- Produce data usage reports for data providers.
Qualifications
- Minimum undergraduate education (Graduate degree in related discipline preferred)
- 1-2 Years minimum relevant working experience preferred
- You have the ability to independently build data sets, glean insights, and create the story from those insights
- Because you can do all three of those things, you work independently very well
- You can also work well within a fast-paced team that functions like a start-up inside a mature business model
- You have experience working with scripting languages like SQL, Python, and R as well as Tableau and all Microsoft Office Applications (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
- You have experience working with high octane personalities of sales and sales management teams and don’t mind the slower pace of adoption and ownership
- You convey executive presence that illustrates a combination of professional drive and personal humility
- You speak fluently in tv/movie quotes as well as food or sports analogies as a means of connecting people to information

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $71,710.00 - $114,736.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter.
