What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at AAA Careers?
The Membership Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving performance objectives as indicated in the Club’s Membership Performance Scorecard; i.e. meeting sales and member service objectives, ensuring the membership operation is accurate, efficient and in compliance with Club standards through the development of an effective, high performing team. Position ensures understanding and compliance with standardized sales techniques and conducts associated training. Must be an exceptional leader who can motivate and develop sales personnel.
Reporting to the ACE Membership Unit Manager, the Membership Sales Manager is accountable for achieving both quantitative and qualitative requirements by managing sales and service activities of their assigned team.
Position has full supervisory responsibility for one or more of the following positions: Membership Sales Agents in assigned locations which include but are not limited to Texas, AL, ACMO and NNE.
Plan, direct, monitor and improve all tasks related to attainment of sales goals.
Proficient in mentoring membership sales agents in Aslan HPC (High-Performance Coaching).
Plan and direct all related sales and service tasks to increase the Club’s Membership acquisition and retention, Ensure the “Successful Sales Calls” selling approach is adopted by the sales team and that the Club’s sales process is followed at all times. Maintain prescribed systems and programs for monitoring and controlling individual and team sales and service performance.
Ensure the membership operation complies with established member service standards. Ensure the Membership Sales Agents maintain a high visual appearance standard and that display areas and all other business development areas are in compliance with marketing guidelines at all off site events and B2B presentations.
Maximize productivity and member service for the ACE Membership Team, ensuring that resources are effectively deployed. Analyze Member Satisfaction Index results; identify and address specific areas for improvement. Maintain ongoing dialog with member service employees and management, as well as support and direct activities to enhance inter-departmental relationships.
Maintain staffing levels and contribute to effective recruitment processes in support of the Group Membership unit recruitment needs. Train personnel on all new programs and changes that directly impact sales, member service and profitability objectives. Identify career path opportunities for all personnel, and provide guidance and mentoring to develop skills necessary for advancement
Communicate relevant and accurate information to the sales team via weekly team meetings, one-on-ones and training sessions. Provide relevant feedback in a timely manner to other sales teams and departments. Assume an active role in inter-departmental team meetings and other workshops. Compile reports and supply information to the ACE Membership Unit Manager.
Required/ Preferred Skills:
• 1 – 2 years’ successful P&C sales experience required with 2-3 years with ACSC preferred
• Prior supervisory/managerial experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
• Advanced oral and written communication skills required
• Advanced knowledge of the SSC selling approach
