Countertop Warranty Technician

AAA Countertops is seeking a Countertop Warranty Technician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in the countertop fabrication industry, but more importantly will be a "GO GETTER." We are looking for winners to join our team, and represent the quality product and service we have become well-known for throughout the Austin area and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct regular fabrication consultation and training in the field and provide technical support to team members.
• Responsible for warranty administration and customer service calls.
• Develop a very high level of product knowledge
• Will be responsible for evaluating claims and determine best path for resolution.
• Identify and resolve customer service related complaints and concerns
• Must be able to reliably make and keep appointments
• Must be able to effectively work independently with minimal supervision

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Must have 1-2 years related experience dealing with a stone fabricator.
• Candidate should be able to install countertops, repair chips in stone, mount sinks, caulk, disconnect and/or re-connect plumbing, etc.
• A high school diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Applicant must speak English.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis; Climbing, Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and handling.

The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be approximately 75 pounds.

There are no special vision requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment and outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions.

• Salary $15-20 per hour depending on experience
