Responsibilities
- Sells all Insurance products and services, meeting or exceeding sales goals; compiles coverage and rating information; confirms insurers underwriting criteria, coverage and premium data and furnishes the client with the best coverage and premium proposals; may photograph homes of prospective homeowner insurance clients.
- Develops complete familiarity with Insurance Company & Agency tolerance for exposure; works with Quality Assurance and Underwriting department to assess non-standard coverage limitations and binding restrictions, minimizing errors and omissions exposures; assists with the resolution of issues as necessary. Thorough knowledge of general insurance practices, including knowledge of the scope of an agent's authority.
- Provides Five Diamond Service to assist clients with answering questions or resolving problems; contacts Insurance company service staff for assistance when required. Builds professional relationships with clients, Insurance Company representatives, dealerships, real estate agents, etc., to ensure success of AAA Insurance and to broaden community knowledge of AAA Insurance products and services; works with fellow Club Insurance professionals to engender a teamwork atmosphere.
- Demonstrates initiative to develop leads and prospects, responding to referrals in a time effective manner; participates in sales programs designed to develop insurance prospects; maintains prospect files on CRM.
- Follows department policies and procedures for the receipt and processing of all new and renewal insurance payments; ensures Insurance clients understand the applications, payment, cancellation and endorsement policies and procedures; works with Accounting to resolve issues as necessary.
Qualifications
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School diploma or GED Associates degree preferred Valid P&C License required Must acquire Life, Accident & Health (LA&H) license within 2 years Service Tier Insurance designation (ARC, CISR, ACSR) preferred Experience: 1-2 year required Insurance Experience 2 years Sales Experience Skills & Abilities Communication skills, with focus on relationship building and customer service Ability to function as a team member Ability to adapt to changing priorities and conditions Ability to perform tasks with great accuracy and attention to detail Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required Ability to operate a computer with relevant software applications Analytical skills to assess a situation, make decisions and apply Insurance Agency policies and procedures
