AAA Western and Central New York is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner with strong employee relations & organizational development experience to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities
25% | Employee Relations: Discuss complex employee relations issues with business line management. Conduct timely, effective, thorough and objective investigations and discuss resolutions. Ensure detailed & thorough documentation is logged & retained. Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns and employee relations issues. Collaborate with HR leadership to address complex workforce issues in a timely manner. Lead all Associate Engagement and Retention efforts in alignment with overall Club strategy. Review turnover and retention data with business line managers and discuss and implement areas to improve. Stay informed on any ongoing and/or potential leaves of absence through discussions with business line leadership. Collaborate with HR Specialist(s) on leave management administration & provide support as needed. |
25% | Performance Management: Consult with business line management on performance management guidance including coaching, counseling, leadership & career development, and disciplinary actions. Collaborate with business line managers to assess and identify employee development needs. Advise business line leadership on performance issues and engage with L&D on identifying training gaps for Performance Improvement Plans. Identify high performers within business line(s) & support business line leadership in the creation of Career Progression & Leadership Development Plans. Responsible for oversight of ACSs & RACs to ensure consistency with content, reasoning, & roll-off/escalation. Conduct calibration meetings during review periods to ensure consistency between evaluators. Assist & advise business line leadership on job description creation and revisions. Ensure routine review of assigned business line(s) job descriptions for areas requiring updates and/or adjusted alignment with departmental expectations or scorecards. |

Talent Acquisition: Remain current on staffing needs for assigned business line(s). Support the Talent Acquisition Lead & HR Specialist(s) on talent acquisition for assigned business line(s) & provide recruitment support to other business lines as needed. Source candidates, conduct prescreens, and perform reference checks. Prepare offers under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Lead & HR leadership. Prepare & oversee pre-employment screening processes and escalate any areas of concern to the Talent Acquisition Lead & HR leadership. Participate in job fairs & hiring events as needed. Ensure HRIS & other pertinent trackers remain up-to-date throughout recruiting process. |

Total Rewards: Learn & become expert in all Club benefit offerings including but not limited to; medical, dental, vision, life, ancillary benefits, & 401(k), and other pertinent offerings. Collaborate with HR Specialist(s) on administration for the Club's Wellness program, Wellness Reimbursement Program, Tuition Reimbursement program, & other related wellness initiatives. Act as a support resource for Associate questions & assist with new hire benefit education/enrollment support, refresher education, & Associate open enrollment support. Stay current in pertinent compliance areas and share updates with HR leadership & peers to ensure the Club remains compliant. Collaborate with HR Specialist(s) on related audits, such as the Benefit Hours Audit. Support HR Specialist(s) with any internal/external audits of Total Rewards offerings/programs & ensure all benefit data that is required is properly maintained. |
10% | Business Acumen & Compliance: Conduct regular meetings with assigned business lines and maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business line's financial position, business objectives, culture and competition. Provide tactical assistance during initiatives that require workforce changes, staffing changes, and other change management areas to support an environment of continual improvement. Be proactive in leveraging knowledge of metrics & analytics to draw conclusions and articulate recommendations based on provided data. Provide guidance to business line leadership on proper protocol pertaining to internal policies/procedures & external laws/regulations. Ensure consistency in application of policies throughout business lines. Review compliance audits from HR Specialist(s) and follow-up with business line leadership for proper escalation. Remain current in all pertinent compliance areas, share updates with HR leadership & peers, recommend best practices, and audit requirements to ensure Club is in compliance. Review the Associate handbook & business line SOPs/SOGs to ensure consistency & necessary revisions to remain compliant. |
10% | Onboarding, Offboarding, & Engagement: Collaborate with HR Specialist(s) & Learning and Development Consultant(s) to conduct onboarding meetings for assigned business line(s). Serve as primary resource for onboarding surveys with negative feedback and ensure areas of concern are adequately addressed. Schedule & conduct exit interviews for assigned business lines, and share feedback/concerns with HR leadership. Rotate and deliver new hire orientation presentation as needed. Conduct stay interviews with identified high performers within assigned business line(s) & provide feedback to HR & business line leadership. |
5% | Administrative Support: Collaborate with HR Specialist(s) to ensure change forms for assigned business line(s) are processed in a timely manner & provide support as needed. Ensure change forms submitted are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and ticket status is kept up-to-date. Oversee Work-At-Home process & approvals for assigned business line(s). Collaborate with HRBP(s) & HR Specialist(s) to respond to Associate inquiries related to HRIS login issues. Support future HRIS module integrations and document new processes. Serve as a support resource for Associate questions & assist with new hire benefit education/enrollment support, refresher education, & Associate open enrollment support. |
Job Specific Requirements

Compensation
The mid-market salary range for this position is $70,158.00 to $80,000.00. Starting salary is dependent on several factors including previous work experience, specific industry experience, and skills required.
