What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Worker position at AAMA?
AAMA's nationally accredited Early Childhood Program is recruiting for a 10 month Childcare Worker to work with our infants and toddlers. While this program is open to the public it primarily serves the students in our George Sanchez Charter School System so they can continue to attend high school and have their children with them.
In this position you will ensure the basic needs of the children are met, they are safe and you will provide meaningful enrichment activities.
George I. Sanchez Charter School System, founded in 1973 and chartered in 1996, serves approximately 800 6th- 12th graders, most of whom are Hispanic.
Programs include early college and dual-credit courses, tutoring, ESL and LEP instruction, after-school programs, recovery and counseling, Pre-k, parenting classes and childcare for students who have children. In addition, we offer smaller class sizes and individualized instruction designed to help our students succeed.
Job qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience working with infants and toddlers. Bilingual in Spanish and CDA strongly desired.
