What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Center Driver position at Aarons?
Summary:
This role will load and unload consumer electronics to and from our retail stores, distribution centers and service centers and transport them using company supplied vehicles. Company vehicles may be between 14 to 26 feet trucks (no CDL required) and may or may not be equipped with lift gates. Typical work week is approximately 40 hours with overtime as needed, scheduled in advance when possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload consumer electronics up to 50 lbs or possibly more
- Verify correct product and accessories for delivery or return
- Follow equipment and product security policies
• Ensure delivery schedule is followed • Safely operate delivery vehicle
- Document all vehicle movement on daily route sheets
- Conduct daily inspection of assigned delivery vehicle to ensure safety and proper maintenance
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- 1-2 years of driving experience
- Must be 21 years old and pass MVR screen
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Extremely flexible with the ability to easily shift priorities with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs, possibly more
