Fine Jewelry Production Diamond District Errands (part-time)
We are seeking a self-motivated fine jewelry production lead to join our team. This person will support the founder on both fine jewelry and bridal jewelry manufacturing. You will support the team by running between vendors on 47th & 48th street as well and helping with production timelines. Primary Responsibilities:
- As the end-to-end production lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of jewelry production, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading a team to success
- Provide key, hands-on assistance in all stages of the production process, including sourcing, receipt, quality control, and distribution of all products
- Provide quality assurance inspection and communicate QC issues with contractors for all orders
- Place special orders for stock and clients
- Support the team in all incoming repairs for clients and stock items
- Source diamonds and gemstones for special projects, client repairs and stock repairs
- Grade, sort, and organize diamonds (GIA background and sieving experience is a plus!)
- Make runs between vendors to pick up/drop off pieces as needed (must be comfortable working on 47th street with our vendors and going from vendor to vendor to make sure projects are being completed)
- Work directly with founder and brand to coordinate production
- Willingness to take on other responsibilities outside the defined role when necessary
- Liaison between different departments ensuring proper flow of production. Assist teams with any time sensitive issues.
- Support the team in all incoming repairs for clients and stock items
- Maintain close communication with all jewelers and vendors at all time. Experience with memoing is a plus
- Maintain, own and manage purchasing production tracking database Diamond Track
- Work closely with team, including production, sales, and ecommerce, to facilitate production needs and assist with other activities as needed
- Review product margins, inventory levels and item sales on a weekly basis and updated shopify website to reflect inventory.
- Work directly with founder and team to evolve and broaden product offerings with new designs, concepts and update successful styles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fine jewelry production experience (a must)
- Extremely organized and detail oriented (a must)
- diamond experience (preferred)
- Willing to learn and grow on the job
- Willingness to work with vendors on 47th street
- Must be able to think on their feet
- Must be ready to go above and beyond for our clients and our company.
- Strong database and management skills
- Must be able to come into our office on 48th street
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, proactive attitude

- Diamond/ GIA experienced is a plus
- must be able to come to commit ~20 hours a week
This is a contract/ part time role.
Pay is flexible - based on experience ($17-$21/hour)
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
