Investor Relations Associate

We are seeking a Hedge Fund Investor Relations Associate to be based in New York. The role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities related to marketing to prospective clients and managing the needs of existing clients. The individual will work most closely with the Head of Investor Relations and the Investor Relations & Business Development team. In addition, the role will require interacting with senior management as well as portfolio managers, and coordinating between the investment, data, risk, IT, accounting and legal and compliance groups. The responsibilities of the Associate will include the following: Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies on the fundamental and systematic hedge fund platforms, and competitive landscape Creation of detailed hedge fund analytics and data packages utilizing advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint methods, including: Performance & attribution reports Risk & exposure reports Portfolio holdings reports Ownership, coordination and preparation of investor reports, presentations and communications including: Quarterly fund investor reports and presentations Annual meeting presentations Investor meeting materials Marketing and branding materials Ad-hoc reports, presentations and communications Share ownership of IR inbox, monitoring and responding promptly to investor questions and requests Work with administrator to process contact updates Completion of due diligence questionnaires and requests Ensuring compliance with internal and external rules, policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements Working collaboratively with the firm’s leadership team, investment professionals, and existing marketing team Desired education, skills and experience: Minimum 3-5 years working in business development or investor relations role, with preference for long/short equity hedge funds Strong written and verbal communication skills Superior organization skills with great attention to detail Understanding of quantitative principals, proven ability to work with datasets, and ability to perform detailed analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) Works well under pressure with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload while adhering to strict deadlines Company Description: As a leading global investment management firm, AB fosters diverse perspectives and embraces innovation to help our clients navigate the uncertainty of capital markets.
