Senior SQL Database Developer/Architect (Atlanta)

We're looking for a full-time/direct hire Senior SQL Developer/Architect in the Atlanta area who enjoys working directly with clients solving complex data problems. As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with one of our top financial clients building procedures used for automated processing created in partnership with members of the data and reporting team you’ll be a part of. This role is 100% remote with the option to attend office meetings and events Tuesdays & Thursdays (office is located in Sandy Springs).

Responsibilities:

• Perform analyses to support issue resolution, performance enhancement, and new development with a growing reporting platform used by over 1500 users internally for security remediation efforts.
• Take ownership of an existing ETL system to support daily monitoring, review for enhancements, and find opportunities to improve its ability to scale.
• Maintain and develop ETL processes for data sources related to security and vulnerability monitoring for a large financial institution.
  
• Fleshing out business requirements with the help of a project lead, and translating those requirements to data requirements
• Defining and documenting data models, writing Source to Target mappings, and designing data pipelines. During the development phase, you will own the development of new data Pipelines or the optimization of an existing pipeline. You might also be responsible for updating or optimizing a data model. During the testing phase of a project, you will work with whomever is testing to own updating their code and applicable documentation.

Requirements:

• 10 years experience building and integrating data at client sites with expertise in SQL Server 2014 or higher, complex T-SQL stored procedures, views, and user-defined functions
• Consulting experience with comfort communicating with all levels of stakeholders including executives, data modelers, application developers, business users, and customers
• Expert architecting data models using normalization to fit the process needs
• Experience creating processes using SQL Server to facilitate automated calls for unattended, scheduled data processing
• Drive requirements gathering sessions with business and technical staff to distill technical requirements from business requests.
• Documentation and design documentation experience, allowing complex concepts to be communicated clearly.

Bonus Skills:

• Cyber Security experience (Qualys preferred)
• Certification in Cloud Platforms (specifically AWS and/or Azure)
• Cyber Security Certifications
• XML creation/parsing using T-SQL functions
• JSON creation/parsing using T-SQL functions
• Basic Powershell, Python, or .Net scripting skills
