ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services. The role reports to the Global Sales Manager and is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Inside Sales Support will develop Technical / Commercial Proposals and assist with driving Inquiry to Order (ITO) and (OTR) Order to Remittance processes for ABB's Electrification business. In this role, you will develop an in depth understanding of the various products within the Electrification business.
Your responsibilities- Develop timely, comprehensive and professional project proposals with key metrics of proposal volume, on-time delivery, and hit-rate / win-rate
- Interpret Drawings, Data Sheets and Specifications to understand and adhere to design intent
- Develop / Maintain relationships with all key functions, including but not limited to: Sales, Factory Quotations, Application Engineering, Project Operations and Product Management
- Interface extremely closely with Sales Managers & Strategic Customers (as required) to develop understanding of Critical to Quality (CTQ's) for growth
- Develop domain expertise of ABB's product offerings and solutions
- Proactively suggest alternates and options (where possible) to reduce cost, improve value to customer and increase profitability
- Address and understand commercial factors such as project duration and basic terms and conditions
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US
- Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Customer-focused mindset with drive to respond quickly to customer needs
- Strong coordination and influencing skills
- Ability to utilize analytical, digital/eCommerce sales tools
- Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills
