What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Production Scheduler position at ABB Inc.?
In this position, you will have a key role in the MV line in Instrument Transformers, Electrification Distribution Solutions, Pinetops, NC. In this role you will drive production efficiency by creating and maintaining detailed production schedules, executing daily, plant-level materials requirement planning to meet delivery schedules and ensure on time delivery to all customers.
This position reports toCustomer Support Manager
Your responsibilities- Generating detailed production schedules to maximize the use of resources and meet production specifications and schedules
- Establishing the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates in line with the master plan
- Monitoring performance, identifying root causes of any deviations and implementing relevant improvements
- Assisting Production Planners with clear communication of any production capacity issues, and details of material availability
- A high school diploma is required
- 2 years of experience in production control, working as Production Scheduler
- Demonstrated experience working on a production line. (Supervisory experience is an advantage.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP is preferred
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
