As a core member of the HR team in the Electrification Distribution Solutions, you will be in charge of the overall HR contribution and value added to the business. You will partner with the relevant leaders to understand business drivers and the current and long-term strategy, and to identify opportunities for HR to add value to the business. Develops and implements people strategy through the execution of HR processes, ensuring effective and sustainable workplace relations, and providing HR support for a defined team or location, by partnering with respective managers.

This position reports to

Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Understands and contributes to the overall business and people strategy
  • Takes accountability for the overall HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with the functions and Shared Services
  • Determines and delivers the best approach in the area of responsibility and executes the HR priorities while adding value to the business
  • Ensures effective communication, engagement, and collaboration across the organization
  • Facilitates the change management initiatives and drives behavior change & continuous improvement across the respective business area / area of responsibility
  • Supports the business and the execution of HR processes involved across the end-to-end employee lifecycle
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Industrial relations or related discipline (Master's degree Preferred) with 12 or more years of HR experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Senior HR Management experience in large manufacturing; solid HR expertise, including employee relations, organizational development and staffing, compensation and performance management
  • HR experience as a government contractor and experience in AAP preferred
  • SAP and Workday system experience
  • Ability to manage and influence in a matrix environment
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Change management/facilitation skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
