Abbeville Fiber in Abbeville, AL has an opening for a Yard Jockey. Abbeville Fiber is a large sawmill that produces cut and graded lumber of various sizes and lengths for its customers. This is a full time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Day and Night shift available: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am
Summary: this position is responsible for efficiently and accurately selecting and staging trailers for loading and transporting, and moving trucks and empty/full trailers.
Responsibilities
- Operate Yard Tractor to move trailers into specific locations
- Shuttle loaded trailers and return with empty trailers to be reloaded
- May operate forklift
- Keep the flow of loaded trailers removed from the yard and replaced by empties
- Provide yard checks as needed for trailer inventory
- Assist with loading and unloading
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- CDL preferred but not required
- Truck driving experience a plus!
