The Opportunity
Our Princeton, NJ Division Headquarter has an opportunity for a Customer Support Specialist. The Customer Support Specialist will be part of a dynamic Customer Service team responsible for delivering the highest quality customer service to Abbott Point of Care international customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Oversee all processes for the International Customer Service team
Create and update SOPs
Lead export audits to ensure timely and accurate processing per schedule
Establish and maintain metrics and reporting for international customer service operations
Interface with Senior-level management in Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain as well as with external partners
Monitor and adjust daily workload of the international team
Primary point of contact for all international escalations
Make sure imported/exported goods comply with government regulations.
Coordinate with logistics personnel, customs officers, and clients to ensure goods arrive on time.
Analyze import/export processes to determine methods for improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Classify goods being imported/exported according to customs guidelines and obtain import/export licenses.
Responsible for arranging communications and shipments between a sales group and its customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree with comparable and relevant experience.
At least 6 years of relevant experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of the organization. Position involves frequent interface with Senior leaders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to prioritize; strong organizational and planning skills; strong intellectual curiosity.
Ability and aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives.
Ability to quickly learn the business and make recommendations that will maximize profitability for the company and maintain customer loyalty.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
