The position of Training Coordinator is within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit located at Scarborough, Maine. In this role you will provide administrative support to the production team in order to produce quality products, seek continuous improvement, and achieve established goals and targets for safety, quality, and productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with the Operations Training Supervisor to ensure all training objectives are met and lend support on priority projects.
- Responsible for coordination and facilitation of training needs and documentation.
- Responsible for accurately maintaining all paper and electronic training records.
- Responsible for presenting trainings.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Develop and improve training tools to effectively train staff.
- Assist in the facilitation of Orientation training and functions that support onboarding of new employees.
- Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies.
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior, image, and communication with both internal/external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
- Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.
- Perform other duties & projects as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years’ experience in professional environment
- Prior experience providing, coordinating, and/or developing training.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to work independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or higher from a college or technical school in manufacturing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of operational excellence/lean principles and applications.
- Basic understanding of medical device manufacturing.
- Demonstrate literacy and comprehension of standard operating procedures and manufacturing documents.
- Prior experience using CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and techniques.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to work successfully both as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
- Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, manufacturing, and word processing software.
- Ability to work collaboratively and building strategic relationships with coworkers.
