The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake County, IL location in our global IT organization called Business Technology Services (BTS).
As the SAP Ariba Technical Lead, you’ll have the chance to play an active role in all phases of our global SAP Ariba implementation and roll-out to 40 countries, as an Ariba IT Team Lead. Your Ariba skills and experience and your lead/project management experience on previous Ariba projects will be critical to the success of our Ariba program and help us optimize procurement processes across our company.
What You’ll Work On

You will be part of our global project team as an Ariba IT Team Lead managing and contributing to IT deliverables throughout the project life cycle - responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing very complex STP solutions to meet organizational goals.

Establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.

Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with division and cross divisional management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.

Develop and execute a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.

Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive management. Make recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues.

Provides strategic consultancy support to customers in defining or designing business processes and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on customer requirements.

Assess near-term needs utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities, consult with technical subject matter experts and develop alternative technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
-
10 years of full life cycle Ariba project experience (Upstream and Downstream), including:
-
8 years in a lead / project manager role (leading teams of 5 employees/contractors)
Preferred Qualifications

Project management certification

8 years of hands on design, build/configuration, test experience

Configuration experience and process knowledge of:

Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP)

Buying and Invoicing

Catalog

Sourcing

Spend Analysis

Contracts

Experience in complex/integrated ERP ecosystems, including integration between Ariba and:

Multiple ECC and S/4HANA systems

MDG

Third party tools (Cordis, OnBase/Brainware, Vertex)

Use of CIG

Knowledge of ECC and S/4HANA organizational and master data objects
