Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing day to day warehouse operations including but not limited to receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory. Duties include quarterbacking the Warehouse Coordinators as needed, training new personnel on business systems and operating procedures. The ability to learn and take initiative is a must, along with good interpersonal skills in order to communicate with colleagues, vendors, and employees.
Core Responsibilities
· Functional point person for operational execution for assigned department(s)
· Share best practices amongst team and train others when necessary
· Communicate expectations for procedures and escalate if not being followed
· Ensure accuracy of scans in/out of WMS
Essential Functions
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communication
· Strong understanding of WMS systems
· History of safe operation of forklifts
· Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture cartons as necessary
