IATF Lead

Overview

This job description has been prepared as a guide to ensure better communication, clear expectations and understanding of the role of Quality Analyst. All responsibilities have not been included. Managers may, from time to time, ask of Quality Analyst to perform other related duties not specifically included in this description. This description will be reviewed annually by the Department Manager and revised if needed to meet the business needs of ABC Technologies.

Responsibilities

The IATF Lead reports to the Quality Manager and interacts with top management from a variety of functional groups, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Materials, Logistics, Human Resources, Maintenance and personnel in their respective areas, the purpose is to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) meets the requirements of the IATF16949:2016 standard. The IATF Lead will proactively communicate with external certification body lead auditors to ensure audit dates, corrective actions, key follow-up points are aligned with their expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the local QMS is in alignment with the requirements of the IATF standard and the corporate QMS.
• Develops and communicates a strategy to achieve and maintain IATF16949:2016 certification.
• Coaches process owners, site leaders and participants regarding the requirements of the QMS and its alignment to the IATF standard.
• Verifies that internal and customer specific requirements are met on assigned audits, projects and processes.
• Develops the IATF Internal audit schedule for all local facilities.
• Develops internal audits of the QMS which includes all elements of the ABC Technologies High Level Process Map including:
• Product Audits
• Internal Audits
• Layered Process Audits
• Supports the QMS in:
  • Conducting internal audits
  • Working with process owners toward defining and developing their processes
  • Approving corrective actions for effectiveness
  • Maintaining all audit records and documentation

Recommends or implements appropriate corrective actions to remedy systemic quality or operational issues within the organization, with the aid of manufacturing engineering, design engineering, purchasing, etc.

Maintains a productive working environment by promoting good communication and cooperation as well as maintaining positive habits and attitudes.

• Contributes to a work environment free from harassment, where fairness, equality and non-discriminatory practices are standard.
• Adheres to the Quality Policy and Environmental Policy as they relate to ISO9001:2016 and EMS ISO14001:2015.

Qualifications

5 Years Automotive Experience (10 Preferred)

Good Attendance

 High School Graduate or GED or equivalent experience

 Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Windows, Microsoft Office

Leadership Skills Required

Must be able to communicate with the QMS Certification body, top management, process owners, leaders and participants collaboratively in a professional manner
