Under the direction of the Administrator:
Job Type: Full-Time

Annual Salary Range: $70,000/yr-$80,000/yr, Negotiable (DOE)

Under the direction of the Administrator:
- Plans for and directs the nursing care, treatments, procedures, and other health-related services to meet resident needs and personal preferences
- Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and current nursing standards of practice
- Assists with the supervision, development, and implementation of a written healthcare plan in cooperation with other disciplines and in accordance with physician orders
- Supervises / reviews preventative and restorative nursing care for each resident in order to achieve and maintain the highest possible degree of function, self-care, and independence
- Oversees the recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluation of nursing department employees to ensure adequate numbers of qualified staff members are on duty at all times
- Ensures that adequate quantities of [in good repair] nursing equipment and needed supplies are readily available to nursing staff members
- Oversees medical records in compliance with licensing, HIPAA, and professional standards
- In conjunction with the Administrator, oversees admission and discharge reviews and decisions
- Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN license
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience, preferably in Geriatric Nursing, along with management experience in leading a healthcare team desirable
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
- Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
