The Insight team plays a vital role in driving data-driven decision-making across abrdn. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams and by providing actionable insights, the department supports the business growth and enhances strategic initiatives. The team ensures that data governance, accuracy, and quality are at the core of every decision-making process, helping to maximise the impact of our data.
About the Role
The Insight Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the overall insight function, managing a team of analysts and scientists, and driving the implementation of insight strategies. The role involves defining and executing the business intelligence strategy, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality data governance and deliverables that align with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the business intelligence strategy in alignment with the platform's goals and objectives.
Lead a team of Insight Analysts and Scientists, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Oversee the design and development of dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate key insights and performance metrics.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Strong knowledge of data manipulation and visualisation tools such as SQL, Python or Power BI.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects.
