Safety Manager
Safety Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Designs safety training for all levels of employees and ensures that personnel training and corrective action follow-up is completed
- Develops and implements accident investigation, data analysis, prevention programs, and procedures
- Conducts on-site reviews and audits of operations and facilities
- Monitors all current information on regulations and requirements related to hazardous materials and agents
- Directs industrial hygiene, occupational, and general safety programs to ensure a safe environment and comply with safety standards
- Investigates and evaluates new safety equipment
- Annotates and keeps accurate records ensuring that proper record management is implemented and maintained within all regulations and guidelines
- Responds and provides assistance in all emergency situations
- Keeps the management team informed of any safety and health-related issues and/or concerns identified within the respective scope of responsibility
- Actively involved in the site's Workers' Compensation program by providing supporting documentation for claims and assisting as needed in all open claims
- Investigates all near misses, first aid cases, recordables and lost day injuries within 24 hours as well as tracking closure on all recommendations
- Operates as the sites' liaison when outside agencies come on-site to conduct annual assessment (i. e. insurance carrier, local fire department, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Interfaces with Safety Reps
- Conducts supervisory orientation, trains, and develops subordinates; provides appropriate coaching, guides, supervises subordinates; and completes annual performance evaluations

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 8 years large scale commercial, government, or industrial project management experience, including at least 4 years management level safety profession experience
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA
- Authorized to work in the US
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,003.99 - $57,811.26 per year
