What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embalmer position at Abilene Professional Services?
Abilene Professional Services is looking to add a licensed embalmer to our team. We are a full service mortuary serving many funeral homes, law enforcement agencies, and transplant services.
This position will be an on call position from 7am Friday to 7pm Monday. While on shift the embalmer will report to the office location and perform necessary tasks as well as help in the removal of the deceased from their place of death. The individual will also be responsible for completing necessary documentation.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, a high aptitude of embalming and other death care practices, and the ability to work independently and as part of a group.
Must have the ability to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis.
Verifiable clean driving record and no criminal history.
Must have Texas Funeral Director's and Embalmer's license or be able to reciprocate.
Crematory Operator Certification a plus but not required.
Salary dependent on experience.
Additional roles may be discussed for an opportunity to earn additional wages.
