What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Home Caregiver position at Ability United?

Ability United is a Home and Community Based Service serving adults living with a disability in the Carroll region. We strive to provide top quality service so that the people we serve can live happy and fulfilling lives.
At Ability United, we are looking for compassionate individuals to staff group homes in the Carroll area that will house individuals living with a disability. Must have compassion, empathy and a desire to work with vulnerable populations in a community based setting. Must be able to pass background checks to include child/dependent adult abuse and criminal.
An ideal candidate is patient, empathetic and possesses good attention to detail. Typical job duties include, cooking, cleaning, helping with ADLs, medication administration, and record keeping. In addition, we believe it is important for the people we serve to have regular outings, that means we even pay you to come to dinner with us, take the members to the park, movies, etc.! Our goal is to do more than simply provide a safe environment, we want our clients to have fulfilling lives.
Our positions are done in blocks, arriving one day and staying all the way through until the end day. This allows you to get full time pay while having far more days off. We even pay you to sleep at the home! We also have overtime opportunities available for those that are interested.

Friday at 8:00AM - Monday at 5:00PM every other weekend
