This is a highly autonomous role, offering the opportunity to be the creative strategist behind the practice. No on call, no weekends. Just pure patient care with the ability to positively impact the underserved people in your local community.
How You’ll Succeed
- You are ready to be part of a patient centered, team-based environment
- Complete comprehensive full mouth exams and diagnose dental conditions
- Assess treatment planning options and discuss with patient
- Carry out agreed clinical treatments
- Assist in recruitment, training and management of dental clinic staff
- Keep abreast of new developments in dentistry through structured continuing professional developments
- Maintain affiliations with professional groups, dental associations and dental societies

Qualifications
- Must be currently registered as a NYS Dentist. All continuing education requirements must be currently fulfilled
- Must have current DEA registration to prescribe Class II-IV drugs. Ability to safely administer conscious sedation is preferred
- Prefer at least one year experience as a dentist. Experience working with developmentally disabled consumers preferred
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with personnel, patients and community partners
