Overview:
The Coach Advisor reports to the Sr. Manager of Coaching Operations and is responsible for the daily oversight of a team of Behavioral Coaches. The Coach Advisor’s primary focus is to lead, develop, and motivate a team of Coaches to deliver exceptional participant experiences and outcomes. The Coach Advisor provides support and guidance while managing coach performance. In addition to running the daily operations for a team of Behavioral Coaches, this role partners with other Coach Advisors to develop team meeting content, support recruiting, and refine communications, policies, and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee a team of AbleTo Behavioral Coaches and ensure that those providers are prepared and able to provide AbleTo programs to participants across the country.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new Behavioral Coaches to the AbleTo provider community.
- Provide leadership to Behavioral Coaches in the AbleTo community through focused, high quality training and education initiatives.
- Ensure that all Coaches on the team are performing at a high level, are engaged in their work at AbleTo, and are compliant with AbleTo standards and evidence-based protocols.
- Initiate, document, and complete ongoing performance management activities, as needed, up to and including termination, as warranted, to ensure the safety and satisfaction of AbleTo participants and health plan clients.
- Ensure that all Coaches on the team are utilizing industry best practice to meet the needs of AbleTo participants including those with medical and behavioral health complexity and risk factors.
- Develop strong relationships with providers, gather feedback about their AbleTo experience, and implement plans to support and improve service delivery.
- Lead clinical or cross-departmental projects in support of AbleTo’s strategic objectives.
- Maintain highest standards of confidentiality as described in the organizations HIPAA Privacy & Security policies and maintains compliance with annual training requirements.
- Maintain the highest standard of conduct as stated in the organization's Code of Conduct.
- Participate as a member of the care team including therapist, program advisor, and other potential internal and external team members.
- Communicate regularly with AbleTo care team regarding scheduling adjustments and treatment change requests.
- Attend and actively participate in regularly scheduled organization Team Meetings and Town Halls.
- Ensure updated availability or scheduling for coaching services in the EnableTo platform meet the minimum standard for posted hours.
- Participate in quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis.
Who You Are:
- Education:
- Master’s in Psychology or related Behavioral Health discipline; or
- Bachelor’s in Psychology or related Behavioral Health discipline with either:
- NBC-HWC, ICF, or BCC certification or
- RN work experience
- 3 years experience coaching or counseling adults within a mental health setting
- Two or more years of supervisory and/or management experience
- Ability to provide leadership to teams within an evidence-based framework
- Possess leadership qualities that serve to inspire and motivate teams
- Excellent understanding of adult mental health
- Foundational understanding of basic coaching skills
- In depth understanding of AbleTo’s Core Coach Competencies
- Understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing
- Ability to maintain flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to manage workload in an independent setting
- Experience with team collaboration and coordination of care with external sources
- Possess cultural competence & humility
- Must have private, dependable access to an internet-connected computer with a webcam and headset (earphones & microphone)
- Tech-savvy & a willingness to learn new platforms.
- Spanish-speaking bilingual skills helpful, but not required
- Must commit to a regular 5 days per week / 8 hours per day schedule; exact hours and days of the week must be mutually agreed upon at the time of the employment offer
- Must be physically located in the US
