Utility Waxer

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Floor Care Technician.

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning. The Floor Care Technician is responsible for using safety measures in work areas.

Duties also include assisting the Building/Account Lead with special projects including but not limited to, setups, breakdowns, move in/ move outs). Willing to complete other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Pay:  $21.00 an hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. 

Shift:  Monday – Friday 6:30pm - 3:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

**Responsible for basic cleaning & utility cleaning

**Cleaning of restrooms includes restocking toilet tissue and other dispensers, emptying trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinals

**Basic cleaning includes emptying trash, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, gum removal, dusting, and spot cleaning glass

**Utility cleaning includes carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, floor waxing, using floor buffer machines, window washing, deep cleaning and detail cleaning projects. Will train to use floor equipment.

**Performs additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, route coverage and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concerns.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

**Minimum of 1 year experience

**Must be willing to work assigned hours

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

**Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb and reach

**Must be able to lift, move and use containers of water, cleaning fluids, and germicidal agents

**Must be able to lift and use wet mop and other janitorial equipment

Standing and/or walking, sitting, stooping, or kneeling
