What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance Mechanic Inventory Specialist position at ABM?
The Facility Maintenance Mechanic Inventory Specialist monitor and report inventory on company specific software, Maximo BMS. Perform general maintenance and repair duties requiring a variety of general building maintenance skills, assists with office moves, and responds to tenant requests in such a manner as to ensure optimal customer relations.
SALARY: $35.20/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize, label, bar code and store all current inventory by item, cost, storage location.
- Maintain a min/max count of stock, everything from screws, bolts washers to motors, pumps and VFD's.
- Create weekly list of parts to be ordered.
- Consistently update the Munich Inventory List and provide info to be uploaded in Maximo.
- Ensure any part used or combination of parts/components used for a project more than maximum amount is accounted for the assigned corrective maintenance work order.
- Provide the Corrective Maintenance WO numbers to Manager. Chief Engineer and Local Finance to create invoice for Munich.
- Additional task/responsibilities TBD as the position evolves.
- Previous storeroom inventory with parts tracking and sourcing experience a plus
- Available to work any shift or days as monthly inventory may require an off-shift schedule.
- Responds in a professional, polite, and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
- Completes assigned maintenance repairs and project work on a variety of general building equipment requiring minor carpentry, wall finishing and painting, minor electrical and general building repairs, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Carpentry - to finish level.
- Painting (touch-up and patchwork)
- Drywall, ceiling and floorcovering repair and patching
- Masonry
- Doors and hardware (including dock and levelers)
- Office fixture installations (pictures, bulletin boards)
- Office moves (cubicle installations and rearrangements)
- Other trades support as necessary
- Assists mechanical and electrical employees and supervisors in completing assigned preventive maintenance and reactive work orders requiring, but not limited to general building maintenance craft skills.
- Completes preventive and reactive maintenance assignments requiring only very basic skills.
- Completes reactive and preventive maintenance paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
- Develops basic troubleshooting skills in general building maintenance crafts.
- Assists in emergencies as needed.
- Performs call-catching duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Returns all work areas to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition.
- Learns, understands, and complies with fire, safety, and other emergency practices.
- Informs supervisor of any condition observed to be unsafe.
- Learns, understands, and complies with all ABM and customer policies.
- Participates in training directed at increasing maintenance and job-related skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or technical school graduate.
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic - Proficient Computer Knowledge (Knowledge of BMS a Plus)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- Minimum (2) Years of HVAC experience
- Minimum (1) Year of Electrical Experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- Ability to keep simple records of activities performed.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Familiar with use of basic maintenance hand tools.
