ABS is looking for full-time students pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Civil Structures, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, Ocean/Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
Winter Work Term is a remote internship opportunity. The 2022 winter internship period is January - February.
ABS Interns are integrated into ABS business operations and will experience various aspects of engineering review, technical problem solving, and/or research and development. The program ensures that you are working side by side with industry professionals delivering classification services, recognized technology leadership, and trusted technical advice to the marine and offshore industries.

Qualifications
• A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is required.
Applicants must be working towards an engineering degree at an accredited school and have completed 50 semester hours towards that degree before the start of the internship.
• A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is required.
- Must be available to work a full internship term (Winter/Spring - January 10 - February 25)
- Valid US Driver’s License is required; satisfactory driving record strongly preferred
- Basic engineering knowledge, proficiency in Excel and AutoCad preferred
- Data science exposure (advanced statistical processes, data modeling, working knowledge of Python and similar) preferred
