What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Intake Coordinator position at Absolute Elder Care?
Absolute Elder Care is a mobile physician group currently searching for an Intake Coordinator for the office.
This position is responsible for processing incoming patient referrals. The Intake Coordinator makes sure that all required patient information is received/processed and that appointments are made as needed.
In this position you will be responsible for processing new patient demographics and entering insurance information. You will also need to communicate with family members of patients via phone to ensure that we have the right information and verify their insurance within our system. Must have a pleasant demeanor, be highly organized, detail orientated, and enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment.
· Represents Absolute Elder Care in a professional manner
· Data entry
· Clerical duties that include filing, copying, e-mailing, and faxing
· Answering incoming calls and responding to questions
· Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills
· Ability to multi-task
· Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, and Power Point
· Outstanding organization skills
· Detail oriented
· Accurately document details of demographics
· Understands Health Insurance Authorization processes
· Critical-thinking and problem-solving ability
· Ability to function in fast-paced, stressful environment
· All other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
